Dear Parents and Guardians of Carson Elementary School

I hope this message finds you and your family well. My name is Lillie McMillan, and I am honored to introduce myself as your Interim Principal for the next twelve weeks. With over forty years of experience in the field of education, including seventeen years as a school administrator, I am passionate about ensuring every child has access to the highest quality of teaching and learning.

For the past four years, I have had the privilege of supporting Carson Elementary School, and I look forward to continuing that work in my role as Interim Principal. My goal is to foster an environment where students can thrive as proficient critical thinkers, readers, writers, and mathematicians, prepared for the future ahead of them.

The “BOOKS & BUNDTS” Reading program is back! Have your student read for at least 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week and track the minutes on the Reading Tracker. Once your student reaches 400 minutes, take the Reading Tracker to the Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery for a free “Bundtlet” and award certificate. The address of the Bakery is, 5624 Mission Center, Suite B. San Diego, CA 92108. Every student is eligible, and all students have received their Reading Tracker.
