Oh the Weather is so Delightful...
Please remember to send your child with clothes for all weather. We will be outside until it "feels like " 10 degrees. Students need to bring warm layers to enjoy their outside time. Please send your child with a change of clothes, just in case.
We often have indoor recess in the morning but go outside in the afternoon.

Land Forms and Dreaming
We had a great week of learning and fun in 1st and 2nd grade. This week, in Math, we learned how to subtract in vertical form and continued to subtract numbers within 20. In Science, we learned what causes canyons to form. We also worked hard during our NWEA testing. We learned about Martin Luther King and wrote about our dreams for the world!
This Just In from Ms. Parisi
Owls in Winter
This week Ms. Parisi's class got to see Kara from the Harris Center! We dissected Owl Pellets and observed traits of winter owls. We also learned 2 digit multiplication and got to do a solving relay race!
A Word From Ms. Nielsson
We Have the Rhythm!
Kindergarten took a deep dive into "Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes" - they practiced singing the song and learned how to play it on Boomwhackers. They even created their own parts for the story and added some music patterns on drums and rhythm sticks.
1st and 2nd grade began learning about different rhythms within a steady beat.
Grades 3 and 4 got their recorders this week! 4th graders remembered a lot from last year and did a great job helping their 3rd grade classmates learn the basic recorder skills.
