Welcome Spring... I think. This has been some strange Missouri weather we are having, but we hope that the extreme weather is behind us.

This week, we have posted the final grades for the third quarter. You can find those in your Parent Portal. Click on your child's name, then find the 3 vertical dots on the right under the "Documents Need Attention", and then "Go to Documents". You will find their 24-25 3rd Quarter grade report there. If you have any questions or would like a paper version, please let your child's teacher know and we can get one for you!

Any students that have a Reading Success Plan (RSP) will have documents and activities sent home today. Any students receiving IEP services will have their progress notes emailed, if they have not been already. (These will come through as donotreply with the subject of IEP Forms for....)

Look below to see some important dates for the end of the school year. Double check those calendars for these next few months to ensure your kids don't miss out on these IMPORTANT DATES!

Finally, the weather cooperated; it is time for our writing night! We are excited to see you on Wednesday, March 26, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Please enter through the main elementary entrance when you arrive. Students will start in the art room to decorate their writer's notebooks for home while parents attend a short informational session on supporting their child with writing at home.

Between 6:15 and 6:20, you and your child will select various writing activities to enjoy during the evening. Everyone can enjoy plenty of hot chocolate during these activities as students write the night away.

At 7:15, all families will return to the library for an opportunity to share their writing pieces.

Do you have a child that will be 5 before August 1, 2025 that is NOT currently enrolled in our preschool? If so, please sign up to have your child screened. If you have (or know of) a younger child that missed out preschool screenings, they are welcome to attend, too!

Troy Book Orders:
For our one read this year, students in grades K-6 read "Rise of the Balloon Goons" from the Notebook of Doom series. We also read some of Troy Cumming's picture books with grades PK-1. This year's one read was picked because the author, Troy Cummings, will be visiting our students for Read In Day in May. When Mr. Cummings visits he should have time to do some book signing. We will be placing an order for books for anyone that would like to order. The prices vary based on the book title. We are offering some of his picture books and part of the books in the Notebook of Doom series. If you would like to place an order please fill out the form and follow the directions on the form to send money to school for your order. The form must be filled out by Friday, March 28, 2025.

Book Fair Volunteers:

Please take note of these upcoming dates for state testing. To accommodate all of our students and their needs, we plan these dates in advance. Please schedule any appointments or other reasons for absence around these dates. We appreciate your help in helping this run smoothly.
