WE WANT YOUR INPUT! We received an ECRAC grant to paint a mural on the west side of the Liquor Store. As part of a Downtown update, we're planning a plaza/seating area at the Lindström Bakery. From there you'll see the new Mural and the Coffee Pot Water Tower rising above. What would you like to see included in this mural?

Community Opportunities
Good morning!
I'm a professor at UMN, and I'm surveying Minnesota small business owners to understand how they think about government and community. My collaborator (CCed) and I think small business owners are extremely important and often misunderstood and/or ignored. The surveys will support our book, which will tell small business owners’ stories and help the public understand them.
So far, we have mainly heard from businesses in Hennepin and Ramsey counties. That underrepresents businesses in rural counties and businesses outside Minneapolis and Saint Paul. We would like to fix that and make sure that their voices are heard so our book reflects all Minnesota small businesses.
We’d greatly appreciate it if you could share this link with your communities, through newsletters or social media or however else you communicate. The survey is taken online and is entirely anonymous. Along with the survey, participating small business owners can enter themselves into a random drawing for gift cards and volunteer to participate in follow-up interviews in the spring. The link is here: https://z.umn.edu/sbo2 and below there is university-approved ad language you can use if you’d like.
.
Take care, and stay warm,
Jane (and Andrew)

Volunteer for the Chisago Lakes Triathlon!
The Chisago Lakes Triathlon weekend is right around the corner on July 26th and 27th, and we need your help to make it a success! This incredible event brings athletes from all over the country to swim, bike, and run through the beautiful Chisago Lakes area. Volunteers play a crucial role in creating a safe and fun experience for participants, and we’d love to have you on our team.
The race is organized by Storm Sporting Events, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to creating top-notch endurance events while supporting youth mental health programs and educational scholarships.
