PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Parking has become a concern at IHS and Dake with staff members finding it difficult to find a space. This is a reminder that the only students who should be parking on campus are Seniors who have earned a Gold Key, have completed the application materials and issued a parking pass. These Seniors must park in their assigned parking spaces. Starting on January 2, 2025, any student without a parking permit may be subjected to consequences and will need to move the vehicle from campus. Please remind your student(s) to display their parking pass on the car that has been approved to park on campus.
We encourage all students to frequently check Infinite Campus and Schoology to ensure that they have completed and turned in all assignments. If you have questions or need support for a student, please reach out directly to the teacher or a school counselor.
Sending heartfelt wishes for a season of joy, good health, and wonderful memories with those you hold dear.
HONOR ROLL
Congratulations to all of our Honor Roll recipients! Your hard work and dedication are inspiring and are commended! We cannot wait to see all the amazing things you'll accomplish in the future. Go Eagles!

If you haven’t already done so, you can purchase the yearbook at www.jostens.com
Thank you for your support,
The Yearbook Staff
ATTENDANCE MATTERS
Daily attendance and attendance to every class is important for students to remain connected and to learn. High school students are gaining more independence but they still need guidance from their guardians. Please talk about the importance of showing up to school and attending classes every day and the connection that timely attendance has when they have a job or career. We understand that students may be sick and will need to stay home to rest. With any absence, please be sure to contact our Attendance Office to indicate the reason for the absence. This helps us partner with you to support your child when they return. Below is a link that shares what you can do to help your child prioritize attendance to school.
SAFE SCHOOL HELPLINE
If you see something, say something!
Please encourage students to report any concerns to an adult at school in addition to sharing with you. If your child wishes to remain anonymous but would like to report a concern, encourage them to complete the Safe School Helpline form using the link below or through the app. Reporting with as many factual details as possible will help our administrators follow up with individuals in a timely manner. Thank you for continuing to support a positive school climate.
MIDTERM WEEK PREVIEW
The schedule is pictured below to help you plan for the week. Students in grades 9-12 report only for the exams they are scheduled to take; there are no classes during these four days.
Additional information will follow in the January Newsletter and teachers will provide updates to their classes. As we move closer to January 21st, you can reach out to specific teachers or the school counselors with questions.
Additional planning dates include:
January 27th - No School (grades 9-12) This is a Regents Rating Day
January 29th No School (grades K-12) for the Lunar New Year
