A Message from Principal P
Dear CMS Families,
As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for being an integral part of our school community.
To our students, thank you for your curiosity, hard work, and kindness. You inspire us every day to strive for excellence. To our parents and guardians, thank you for your unwavering support, trust, and partnership in your child’s education. And to our dedicated staff, your commitment and care make our school a special place to learn and grow.
Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what we’re most thankful for, and I am truly grateful for the sense of community, collaboration, and support that we share here.
Wishing you and your families a joyful, peaceful, and safe Thanksgiving holiday. May it be filled with warmth, love, and cherished moments.
With gratitude,
Ms. P

Better Together and P2 Celebration
P2 November Students of the Month
At CMS We Celebrate Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
What started at the turn of the century as an effort to gain a day of recognition for the significant contributions the first Americans made to the establishment and growth of the U.S., has resulted in a whole month being designated for that purpose. The theme for 2024 Native American Heritage Month is "Affirming Native Voices: Visibility, Leadership, and Service," focusing on the importance of elevating Indigenous voices, leadership, and contributions to society.
Key points about the theme:
Emphasis on Indigenous perspectives:
The theme aims to highlight the unique viewpoints and experiences of Native Americans and Alaska Natives.
Celebrating leadership and service:
It recognizes the significant roles Native people play in leadership positions and community service.
Promoting visibility:
The theme encourages greater recognition and understanding of Native cultures and issues.
