Leadership Message
Dear St. Luke Families,
This week as a school community we celebrated the gift of Catholic Education where we are so thankful that our faith, values, and knowledge all can intertwine to shape the lives of our students. Our curriculum, prayers, and spiritual practices like the Living Rosary students led on Thursday, aim to instill a sense of faith in our students. Catholic education is a journey of growth, both intellectually and spiritually, and we are privileged to guide our students along this path. Together, as a school community, we celebrate the blessings of Catholic education and the impact it has on the lives of our students, preparing them to be compassionate, responsible, and ethical individuals in society.
Students asked their parents this week why they think it’s important for them to go to a Catholic school. One response was “To grow in faith, academics, love for God and others in a safe, caring community becoming who God is growing my kids to be.” A wonderful testament to Catholic education and we thank all our parents for choosing to be a part of our wonderful St. Luke community.
This week we also welcomed Steven from Pepy and Here Comes the Sun, an EICS initiative, to facilitate the important connection between our mental, physical and spiritual lives and how to work on the balance that will make us happy and strong.
Today was a special day for our school community as our Grade 1 students embarked on a journey to Festival Place to celebrate Arbour Day, while our Grades 2 to 4 students ventured to the Strathcona Wilderness Center. It was a beautiful day for these enriching field trips, filled with opportunities for hands-on learning and connection with nature. We extend our gratitude to all the parent volunteers who dedicated their time to accompany our students.
A very heartfelt Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there, both biological and spiritual, whose love and guidance have shaped the lives of our students. We extend our deepest gratitude to all parents for their unwavering love, guidance, and support.
On Monday we will be having our second last School Council and Parent Association meeting of the year. Please consider joining us at 6:00pm. It’s a great way to become involved in our school community.
Next week is a short week and there will be no St. Luke Good News. We wish you all a wonderful weekend and a beutiful long weekend.

Give a Pencil Car Wash
A warm hello to all!
It is with great pleasure and excitement that the EICS Transportation office announces a yearly car wash fundraiser.
The 1st Annual Carwash "Give a Pencil Car Wash" will be held on May 28th from 9am-2pm at CLS in the Wash Bay.
All proceeds will be used to purchase school supplies through Staples and supplies will be distributed before the beginning of the 2024-25 school year to ALL EICS schools to support our students.
We very much look forward to seeing any and all families, friends and all supporters of EICS to support this great cause. We believe that students equipped with the tools to learn are necessary and support their learning.
Thank you so much to everyone for your support,
EICS Transportation
