January 28: Wellness for Busy Students & Athletes
Students juggling academics, sports, and leadership roles face unique stressors that can affect their wellness and performance. This webinar, led by Tina George of Caron Treatment Center’s Education Alliance, explores the physical and mental effects of stress and provides strategies to help students maintain balance and stay substance-free. With tailored insights for coaches, athletic directors, and activity sponsors, this session is perfect for anyone working closely with students.
February 18: Vaping in 2025
Vaping products are more powerful and dangerous than ever, with youth-targeted marketing and new ways to evade regulations. Dr. Aaron Weiner is returning to provide an in-depth look at the latest trends in vaping, the risks to physical and mental health, and how educators can guide students toward healthier choices.
March 4: Risks of Modern Marijuana
Today’s marijuana products, like dabbing concentrates and delta-8 THC, pose serious risks to adolescent brain development and mental health. Laura Stack, founder of Johnny’s Ambassadors, travels across the country sharing her powerful story of loss to educate schools and families. Her presentation will equip educators with the knowledge to address these issues and start essential conversations with students.
Each webinar is free, but registration is required. These sessions provide practical tools and expert guidance to help your school create a healthier, more informed community.
Scholarship List
Many of the scholarships listed are online scholarships. The general rule is if the scholarship listed has a link that means the application is online. If the scholarship on the list does not have an online link then the paper application is in Guidance in the filing cabinet under the "Scholarship" sign! (To the right of Ms. Gorman's desk)
For every scholarship you apply for you will need to fill out a Blue Transcript Request form. Those forms are available in Guidance on the table in front of Ms. Gorman's desk. If you are not able to come to Guidance you can email me and I can forward you an electronic fillable form.
Scholarship lists are also posted on Rogers High School website.
