SELF- PACED Microsoft Tools for Student Accessibility
Microsoft has many features and tools that can assist students with a variety of disabilities, including vision, hearing, speech, and reading disabilities. If you work with special needs students at all, you can benefit from learning about these features! Participants will learn how to use accessibility tools that are built into the Windows 10 operating system and the Microsoft Office 365 Suite. Tools highlighted in this session include Windows 10 Ease of Access settings, Immersive Reader, Dictate, and Office Lens.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
• Teachers will explore the Windows 10 Ease of Access settings.
• Teachers will practice using Immersive Reader, Dictate, and Magnifier in a variety of Microsoft programs.
• Teachers will examine the Accessibility Checker and Editor built into Microsoft programs.
• Teachers will utilize Microsoft Lens to scan a document and then use Immersive Reader to read aloud.
• Teachers will discover the benefits of using the Edge browser for Read Aloud features.

Self- Paced PlayPosit: Your Interactive Video Resource
PlayPosit is a web-based tool that lets teachers create and edit interactive video assessments from streamed or uploaded content. Teachers upload an audio file or a video from popular sites such as YouTube and Vimeo to create an interactive video or bulb. Users can combine and crop videos, include closed captions, and add interactions, including polls, multiple-choice questions, pauses for discussion, and?written responses with optional feedback. Once bulbs are assigned out and students start completing them, teachers can check in on progress in the dashboard.?

Schoology will be the new learning management system (LMS) for RCS. In this "getting started" session, participants will learn how to navigate the Schoology platform, experience Schoology as a student, prepare materials for use in their Schoology courses and share content within the PLC environment. Schoology integrates videos and online tools, such as One Drive, into a single environment so teachers can create engaging online content and students can easily move between learning activities.

MagicSchool for Students is MagicSchool’s new student-facing AI platform that focuses on building AI literacy for students.
