Bulldog Blast

Hey Bulldog Families,

We've successfully completed our first full week of school! It's been an awesome week of learning and building relationships at BWE. It's hard to believe how much we've packed into just five days. When you're having fun while learning, the days seem to fly by. There is quite a bit of information in this week's Blast, so read through to the end. We look forward to seeing you Tuesday for Parent Information Night.

Elementary school start times for our district have changed.

Deliveries (forgotten items & lunches) may be placed on the cart, just inside the front entry doors.

Parents, please help us with a safe and expeditious dismissal, by reminding our little bulldogs to park their bikes in the bike racks each morning. We were blessed with tons of space for all of our bikers!

Please join us to hear important information from your teachers.

Our little bulldogs will be learning routines and procedures during the first couple of weeks of school. Mark your calendar! Opening day for lunch visitors is coming soon!

Across the United States, students, parents, family, faculty, fans and alumni celebrate College Colors Day every year on the Friday before Labor Day. This year, College Colors Day is Friday, August 30th. BWE students and staff are invited to show their school spirit and pride by wearing their favorite college colors and/or apparel.

Grandparents are invited to bring lunch or purchase lunch in the cafeteria for this special day.

Summer break is over, but Texas summer heat is not. Below are our district's excessive heat guidelines, that govern our participation in outdoor activities, during high temperatures.

Volunteers in CISD must complete the district application each year. The application is linked here for your convenience.

Birthdays are the best days and we love to celebrate at BWE! We do not however, host birthday parties at school. Parents may send gift bags of inedible items (pencils, bubbles, party favors) for students to share with their class. Edible items may be sent, inedible items are preferred. Due to allergies and dietary restrictions, edible items MUST be store bought with a legible nutrition label.

Students arriving after 7:55 a.m. are marked tardy.

Early check-out ends @ 2:30 p.m.

All transportation changes should be emailed to birnhamwoods@conroeisd.net.

Changes must be received by 2 p.m.
