November Newsletter 2023
Ben Franklin Middle School
From the Desk of the Principal
Happy November!
As we dive into this month, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible achievements and spirit of our students, teachers, and staff. Together, we have already accomplished so much this school year, and I couldn't be prouder of our community.
In the spirit of spreading positivity and joy, our focus for November will be on practicing kindness and gratitude. Let's make it a mission to brighten each other's days with acts of kindness, big or small. Whether it's a smile, a helping hand, or a kind word, let's show the world the power of our Ben Franklin community!
I want to remind families of a few important dates. There will be no school on Friday, November 10th, as we observe Veteran's Day. Additionally, please mark your calendars for Wednesday to Friday, November 22nd-24th, as there will be no school during the Thanksgiving break. We hope you are able to enjoy quality time with loved ones.
As always, I am grateful for your continued support and partnership in creating an inclusive and vibrant learning environment. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Let's make this November a month full of kindness, gratitude, and memorable experiences.
All my best,
Mrs. Kirstin Hanson
Principal
BFMS
No School Days in November

ECSE Community Friends
Fargo Public Schools' Early Childhood Special Education program is seeking Community Friends to join its preschool classrooms for the afternoon sessions. Community Friends are typically developing peers who will join the ECSE classrooms alongside the students with developmental delays or disabilities. Students must be 4 years old by July 31 and pass a developmental screening to be eligible for the program. The program is free of charge for families, but parents must provide transportation. The ECSE afternoon sessions are held from 12:10-2:40 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday through May 30. Click here to apply for the ECSE Community Friends program.
El Zagal Shrine Center Screening Clinic
The El Zagal Shrine Center is hosting a free screening clinic for children with bone, muscle, or joint problems this Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 701.235.7521 to make an appointment, or walk-ins are welcome. This is a screening and not a diagnosis for a child.
UNDELIVERED EMAILS
If you use Hotmail or Gmail and you suspect you are not receiving school notification emails, you can add the noreply@fargo.k12.nd.us email address to your account as a safe sender, which will then allow these messages to be delivered. The easiest way to do this is to just add the address to your contacts/people list. Click here for a guide on how to do this.
