K-5 Character Counts! Trait - CARING
"Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness and caring to change a person's life."
Elementary students that are caring are empathic, compassionate, and respectful of others. They are thoughtful about the social-emotional well-being of people in their home, school, and their community.
These students are committed to serving others and positively impacting lives in powerful ways, and nominated students that exemplify this character trait this month will be recognized during our Star Assembly!
MYP IB Learner Profile - Caring
Grades 6-8/MYP Y3 students that are able to display empathy, compassion, and respect for the needs and feelings of others around them are caring.
Those students need to have a personal commitment to service.
They also act to make a positive difference to the lives of others and to the environment and nominated students that exemplify this learner profile attribute this month will be recognized during our Star Assembly!

25-26 ENROLLMENT FOR NEW STUDENTS
We are continuing to accept applications for the current school year and will be accepting applications for the 25-26 school year in December, 2024. A random lottery will be held to determine admission. All applications received during an enrollment window will participate in the random lottery. Lottery Rules. Existing families DO NOT need to complete an application for the 25-26 school year, instead they will be asked to COMPLETE an INTENT TO RETURN form in 2025. Only those siblings of existing students currently attending Franklin Academy require an enrollment application to be completed for the 25-26 school year. Franklin offers a sibling preference, so families should be sure to indicate that the applicant has a sibling who already attends Franklin, along with the name of the current Franklin student/sibling, when completing the application. It is recommend that those eligible families complete and submit an application any time during the first enrollment window, which opened on Monday December 2, 2024.
Our first enrollment window will remain open until Friday February 28, 2025, and applying ANY TIME during this window gives applicants an equal chance in the random enrollment lottery, which will be held in March, 2025.
If you know of any friends or family that might be interested in attending Franklin Academy for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, please share this enrollment information with them.
If your child is currently an eighth-grade/MYP Y3 student at our campus they will have a 9th grade seat at our Pembroke Pines K-12 campus waiting for them to accept. You can secure the 9th grade seat during the “Intent to Return” process in 2025.
For any family that would like their child to attend another one of our campuses, essentially transferring from one campus to another, the family must complete an application during the enrollment period, as each campus hosts their own lotteries and wait list and we cannot offer automatic transfers for any students other than 8th grade/MYP Y3 students who will be naturally matriculating into our Pembroke Pines K-12 high school.
