A message from Mrs. Taylor
Dear ASBA School Community,
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for all of your well wishes and prayers during my time away on medical leave. Your support has meant the world to me and my family.
I am thrilled to announce that I will be returning to my role as the principal of ASBA as of today, Monday, September 30, 2024. It has been inspiring to witness the hard work and dedication of our school team in my absence. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that our students had a positive start to the school year, and I invite you to join me in celebrating their incredible efforts.
October is shaping up to be a busy month, filled with numerous opportunities for families to partner with us. I hope to see you at one of our many events in the coming weeks and encourage you to stop by and say hello. Your involvement is invaluable to our school community, and I look forward to reconnecting with each of you.
Thank you once again for your support. Together, we will continue to make St. Benedict a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow.
Warm regards,
Jessica L. Taylor, Principal

ASBA Chapel Beautification
I am excited to announce that our prayer space has officially reopened! A heartfelt thank you to Deacon and Mrs. Gill for their beautiful renovation. As October is the Month of the Holy Rosary, it’s a wonderful opportunity to teach and pray the rosary in this serene setting. Scholars will be visiting the space in the weeks to come. Be sure to ask your student(s) to tell you all about it!

ASBA Fall Festival 2024 - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Our community Fall Festival is right around the corner, and we need your help!
This event celebrates the vibrant changes of the season and fosters a sense of community among students, staff, and families. This event offers a fun and engaging way for students to connect with each other through various activities, games, and seasonal festivities, all while appreciating the beauty of fall. It’s a wonderful opportunity to create lasting memories and strengthen the bonds within our school community.
Parent involvement is crucial to the success of our school events, including the fall festival. When families participate, they not only enrich the experience for their children but also help build a supportive network within our community. We invite all parents and family members to volunteer their time and talents to ensure this event is a success. Whether it’s helping with decorations, coordinating activities, or providing snacks, your involvement makes a significant difference. Together, we can create an unforgettable celebration for our students!
If you are able to volunteer and support this event in any capacity, please let us know by completing this Google Survey.
October Book Challenge
I am challenging all homerooms to participate in an October Book Challenge! 📙🎃

Reading is a vital skill that not only enhances academic performance but also fosters creativity and imagination in our scholars. At our school, we strive to cultivate a genuine love for books by providing an engaging and supportive environment. We believe that reading should be fun and exciting, sparking curiosity and joy in every child. By encouraging a passion for literature, we help our students develop critical thinking skills and a lifelong appreciation for learning. Together, we can inspire them to explore new worlds through reading, making it an enjoyable part of their everyday lives.

Student Attendance Incentive
Consistent attendance is crucial for our students' success, as each day of learning builds on the last. Tardiness, absences, and early dismissals can lead to gaps in knowledge and understanding, making it harder for students to keep up with their peers. When parents and guardians partner with us to prioritize attendance, we create a stronger foundation for our scholars’ academic growth. To support this, we’re excited to introduce an attendance incentive program as one of the many ways we will celebrate our students’ achievements. Together, let’s encourage regular attendance and ensure that our children thrive in their learning journey!
Tuition Policy 2024-2025
The success of our Catholic school hinges upon the commitment of families to make Catholic education a financial priority, be involved in their child’s education, and make their tuition and fees payment(s) on a timely basis.
Tuition payments are due on the dates stipulated in the Tuition Agreement Contact or on the dates arranged by an alternative payment plan. Academy Of St Benedict The African, via FACTS, will send monthly bills and statements. Our tuition payments are due on the 17th of each month. Please review our Tuition Policy 2024-2025 linked here. A copy of this policy will also be going home with all Scholars tomorrow.
We thank you for your continued partnership and dedication to our school community!
