Simpson Elementary School: December 2024 Edition
Coin Wars
Simpson students will participate in Coin Wars the week of December 9-13 to raise money for Food Bowl. All proceeds will benefit our local food bank. The grade level that raises the most money will win an extra recess party from the high school leadership team after winter break!
There will be a container for each grade level in the office. Anything donated under $1 (coins) ADDS to the grade level total. Anything $1 or more (bills) TAKES AWAY from the grade level. So if you are trying to sabotage a class, bills are the way to go... put bills in the grade level bin you want to mess with!
Families and friends can also donate directly to Food Bowl (not part of Coin Wars) online using this link: https://montesano.revtrak.net/food-bowl/. Food Bowl is a fun way to help those in need this holiday season. Thank you for supporting our community!
Pie in the Face!
Simpson ASB will be selling Pie in the Face tickets before school December 16-19. Tickets are 25¢ each or 5 for $1. Students can use tickets to enter a drawing for a chance to pie a staff member in the face at the assembly on December 20. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Montesano Food Bowl.
Spirit Week: December 16-20
Simpson Elementary will have a spirit week December 16-20. All students are encouraged to participate by dressing up according to each day's theme.

Bulldogs of the Month
Each month, Simpson students focus on developing specific character traits. Students learn what it looks like to exhibit these traits and are recognized for demonstrating them inside and outside of the classroom. November's character trait was "citizenship." Congratulations to November's Bulldogs of the Month: Steve G., Emersynn M., Ryker J., Jamison O., Weston W., Levi G., Annabella C., Audrey T., Tanner M., Lucas G., Brantley C., Alyvia C., Blake R., Olivia P., Andee C., Gia V., and Isaiah P.
Students will focus on "cooperation and teamwork" as the character trait for the month of December.
