Welcome Back Irish Family!
We are indeed excited to be back in school from a well-deserved spring break! As the school year comes to an end, there is so much more work to get done! Moving forward, all subsequent newsletters will highlight year ending events leading up to graduation on May 24th. I must say how this year has really gone by fast! Moreover, I cannot express how proud I am of our student body, and faculty and staff for the many great accomplishments throughout this year.
Prom season is here and our Prom, "A Night to Remember, A Masquerade Ball" is scheduled for April 26th. More importantly, the Georgia Milestones (EOCT's) are scheduled to start May 6th -10th along with Honor's Day Programs on May 16th and other year ending activities to follow. I will keep you updated on all upcoming events. If you have questions, please contact the school at 478-353-8040.
Go Irish!

Irish Tennis Teams Host Region 2-A Tournament
While our Dublin High School-Georgia Tennis teams have been practicing all week for next week’s region tournament, coaches Emily Barrs and JD Moran had everyone slow down and take a break by the lake for a special team building fishing trip! Along with setting bait and casting lines, they also broke bread and brought a few rackets to round out the day. Come out and support them, beginning Tuesday, as they host the Region 2A Tournament. Full schedules will be shared soon. #GoIrish
Juniors & Seniors & The SAT
Thanks to the generous support of Communities In Schools of Georgia in Laurens/ Twiggs Counties, Transform Dublin and Yummy Ice for 67 Juniors and Seniors to take the SAT this at no cost to their families!
Bishop Nicholoson - Work-Based Learning Student of the Month!
Bishop is an apprentice in the WBL program. He interns with our Director of Marketing
and Sports Information, Jason Halcombe. He is a quick study, doing photo-journalism
videography interviews, and stepping in when our PR folks cannot be onsite. Bishop
spends countless hours preparing and finalizing his work. Recently, he covered the
mock interview sessions, capturing participating students and business and industry
leaders.
Bishop’s future plans are to continue with photography, housed in his own audio and
visual arts production studio. He would love to see students from DHS attend a small
business expo, where they would be enlightened in a wealth of business opportunities.
