Message from Ms. Bratton, principal

Hello Wrangler families,


We have had a great first week at SBMS. Our teachers have done excellent work with laying the groundwork for strong relationships and structures in their classrooms. Our students are meeting (and often exceeding) behavior standards in hallways and at lunch. It has been a great start.


I only have ONE ask of families - we need 3 things during pick up:

1. Please have your number posted. Our process slows down a LOT for those who do not display their child's number. IF you lost your card but know the number, just write it big and bold on a piece of paper OR call us and we will print you a new one. Never received one? Let us know and we will get that to you asap.

2. Focus on the car in front of you and pull up. Please do not slow to a roll and look for your child. We will help get them to you.

3. Pull all the way up. 😎


If everyone can focus on these 3 things, we will get that pick up line moving even more smoothly AND I can get Officer Serna & my tired staff out of the heat even quicker.

Free/Reduced Meals Application

Honors Math Meeting - Monday, Aug 26

Parents of students in Honors Math or Pre-AP Algebra I are strongly encouraged to attend an information session on August 26th beginning at 5:45pm.

Attendance Matters. Every Student. Every Day.

SBMS attendance for the week of 8/19 - 8/23:

6th grade: 99%

7th grade: 99%

8th grade: 98%

PTA CORNER

Hallway Heroes Meeting - Aug 27 at 8:30am

Reminder: Come find out about this year’s Hallway Heroes program on Monday, 8/27 at 8:30 am. As a Hallway Hero, you can be a part of keeping our school safe. Time slots to volunteer run throughout the day- pick a time that works best for you!


WHO CAN BE A HALLWAY HERO? Any parent or guardian age 18 and older.

WHAT DO HALLWAY HEROES DO? Possible activities include traffic duty, checking for ID badges in the hallways, checking that doors are secure throughout the building and outside perimeter, assisting at lunches, assist with campus-wide activities such as clubs, and career exploration during Wrangler Time.


WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Complete a Comal ISD background check ASAP here
  • Attend this orientation

If you missed buying your spirit gear or joining SBMS PTA at schedule pick-up, it’s not too late, click here to buy!


Don't forget: through Sunday, 8/25, any SBMS PTA membership you buy will also be entered into the 1st 9 weeks parking spot raffle! Drawing for the raffle will be held on Monday, 8/26.

For every SBMS PTA membership you buy through Sunday, 8/25, you will be entered into the drawing! If you’ve already joined SBMS PTA, don’t worry, you’ll be entered in as well!


Don’t wait! This raffle drawing will take place on Monday, August 26th. Entries received by 11:59pm on Sunday, August 25th will be included in the drawing.


Winner will be contacted and announced on our Facebook page, and will be able to use their VIP spot immediately and for the remainder of the first nine weeks.
