AUTISM AWARENESS
The month of April marks World Autism Month, which aims to bring awareness and to fearlessly stand for a world where autistic people are recognized and have the opportunities they deserve. Autism is a developmental disorder that affects how a person communicates, interacts with others, and experiences the world around them. It's crucial to remember that autism is a spectrum, meaning that individuals with autism can have a wide range of strengths, challenges, and abilities. While some individuals may have difficulties with social interaction and communication, others may excel in areas such as problem-solving, creativity, and attention to detail.
Fostering acceptance is an important part of our development as individuals, and it is something that we must stay committed to on a daily basis. In every facet of our lives, we have opportunities to be helpful, to support others, to be kind, to practice gratitude, and to be invested in our relationships, our school, and our community.
IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR THE SOLAR ECLIPSE!
Parking Lot Closure
As a reminder, due to the full solar eclipse, which will not be seen again until 2099, Keystone Schools are closed on Monday, April 8. Per the suggestion of the Lorain County Emergency Management Services, all Keystone parking lots will be closed and roped off at KES and KHS at the end of school today (this will NOT affect pick ups/drop offs) and at KMS after tonight's 8th grade dance. The parking lots will remain closed through the entirety of the day on Monday, April 8th.

TRANSPORTATION & EFFECTS ON SPRING SPORTS
Even as our school year descends into the final two months, we are still in desperate need of transportation drivers, as we have three driver positions that need to be filled. As a result of the driver shortage as well as a lack of an additional bus, students involved in spring sports may have to self-transport.
We ask that you please consider becoming a part of our transportation team, for which there are numerous capacities to choose from: full time, part time (either mornings or afternoons or both), or a driver for sporting or extracurricular events. CDL and BCI/FBI background checks are required. Contact Transportation Supervisor Therese Jackson at therese.jackson@keystoneschools.org or at 440-355 2411 or apply online @ https://www.applitrack.com/nccohio/onlineapp/.
