Stanwood Middle School
Family Message - September 17, 2022
Good morning Stanwood Middle School Families!
With our first full week under our belt, our Spartans are starting to get into the routine of learning in all of their classrooms.
If you need help with how to monitor your student’s grades via Skyward, don’t hesitate to reach out—keeping our students on track for success is part of our Annual Action Plan (AAP).
This week our teachers made great headway into finalizing our 2022-23 AAP. With a focus on being able to respond in writing in every class and reading to comprehend the main idea, our students will also learn the critical skills of how to get unstuck during the learning process. It’s going to be a great year of learning for all of us at Stanwood Middle School.
On Tuesday, we will present all of this information to the School Board at their 6:00 p.m. meeting. We are excited to share with the community our hard work and future plans.
MOD Pizza Fundraiser
See the flyer below about our first PTO MOD night of the year. You can order online with the code or at the counter (just remember to say that it is for Stanwood MS PTO), and a portion of the order with go to support all of the programs our fabulous PTO Supports.
6th Grade and New Student Shirts
Many of our 6th graders received t-shirts (picture below) from our PTO Thursday. Unfortunately we ran out of certain sizes, so some 6th Grade Students and all of our new 7th and 8th Grade Students will have to wait for our next shipment, it will be here soon!
Spartan Sports this Week
Our girls soccer and cross country have their first matches and meets this week. If your student is participating in either sport, please remember that pay to play must be paid prior to the first contest.
Also, we are in need of soccer refs due to a statewide shortage. If you’d like to help us out, please contact Holly Christmas at hchristmasharris@stanwood.wednet.edu
ASB Sticker
Students who purchased an ASB card can come at lunch to get the sticker for their ASB.
Please call the school if you have any questions!

Once again, thank you!
