Colour Run Tomorrow!
Final call for the Colour Run tomorrow, which has certainly generated a lot of excitement amongst the children. The forecast is looking good to go, so we are anticipating a fantastic event, with an open invitation to parents if you are able to come along.
Student Goals in HERO App
Tomorrow, you should receive an update on your child's learning goals via the HERO App. This will give you a general overview of the priority areas they have been working on this term.
These goals will be reviewed each term, and included as part of the Term 2 & 4 Reports. As always, if you have any questions relating to this or other aspects of your child's learning at any point, the best course of action is to arrange a time to catch up with the class teacher at a mutually convenient time.
For students in Year 1 (and also students who may be new to learning English), reading, writing and maths goals are not included, but pastoral goals against the MENPS Touchstones will be set.
We encourage you to take the opportunity to talk to your child about their goals, discuss the work they have been doing in class towards them and also ways you may be able to support from home.
Uniform Reminders
A reminder that the Board's Uniform Policy specifies the items children must wear to school. Please help us to avoid the many variations to this, which we see creeping in across the year levels. Specifically, please make sure your child has:
- Black trousers
- Black or white socks (not coloured, patterned and/or filly)
- Plain footwear (plain shoes, trainers or sandals) - black, red or white only
- No leggings (including under shorts/skirts/skorts)
- No long sleeved under-shirts/thermals/skins (A plain black or white thermal short-sleeved top underneath the polo shirt is fine if required)
- No bracelets, necklaces or earrings (with the exception of small studs or sleepers)
- No nail polish or makeup
As a uniformed school, we ask that you ensure that your child has the correct uniform at all times, and appreciate your support.
Tomorrow will be a colourful exception!

Keep collecting Yummy Fruit Stickers
Did you know the MENPS students use Sports Gear from the Yummy Apples collection everyday? The Yummy Apples Sports gear is used in PE lessons and can be picked up by students from the PE Shed during lunch times! Collect stickers from Yummy Apples and stick them to the Yummy Apple collection sheets or cut out labels (or bar codes) from Yummy Apple bags and glue them on a blank sheet of paper. Completed sheets can be dropped back to your class teacher or the office at any time.Thank you for collecting MENPS!
