Assalamu alaikum respected parents,
I pray you are all well. We look forward to seeing all our students tomorrow, January 28th in sha Allah. We are scheduled to have our mid terms for Quran and Arabic tomorrow in sha Allah. Please make sure students are prepared and have checked their google classrooms for any review materials or assignments.
MORNING ASSEMBLY: On Sunday (1/21), our morning assembly was led by Sr Eman Enaya , on the topic of "Tilting Our Scales - To Jannah ". She discussed how we are coming upon 3 special months in the Islamic calendar. We should take advantage of doing extra good deeds so we can tilt the scale to get us to Jannah! The special months are Rajab - where we were ordained salah. Shaaban , is the month in which directly precedes Ramadan. It is also a month the Prophet SAW spent a lot of time doing extra fasting. And the last special month we know a lot about is Ramadan ! We should take this time as an opportunity to incorporate beneficial habits and extra acts of ibaadah such as sadaqah , daily du’a, tahhajud, istighfar & Qur’an recitation. One of the scholars of Islam said that “Rajab is the month of cultivation, Sha’baan is month of irrigating the field s, and the month of Ramadan is the month of reaping and harvesting.” We do not want to be spending Ramadan in preparations! We want to be already prepared and reaping the benefits of Ramadan from the start. See ASSEMBLY FLYER attached for more information.

Parent involvement is essential for students development, leads to increased student achievement and success and offers many benefits. We highly encourage our parents to get involved at IFN Sunday School which is why we are offering several opportunities for parent involvement this year. These include the following:
1. Join Parent Support Group (PSG)
2. Become a Teaching Assistant
3. Become a Lunch/Recess Supervisor
4. Lead a Morning Assembly at Sunday School
5. Be a Substitute Teacher or TA
