March 2025 Highlights - WE CELEBRATE WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH
Let's Celebrate Women's History Month!
Dear Students and Families,
As we begin the month of March, we are excited to honor Women's History Month, a time to reflect on the countless contributions women have made throughout history. This celebration allows us to recognize and appreciate the achievements of women in all fields—science, politics, literature, the arts, sports, and more.
At Rockville High School, we are committed to fostering an environment where all voices are heard and valued. Throughout this month, we encourage our students to reflect on the impact of women in shaping our world and to find inspiration in the stories of courage, innovation, and perseverance that surround us.
We invite you to join us in this celebration by taking the time at home to explore the stories of women who have made a difference. Together, let’s honor the powerful legacy of women throughout history and inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
Thank you for your support in making this month a meaningful and educational experience for our students.
Happy Women's History Month!

Seniors and parents/guardians: I hear the survey fatigue. The scholarship survey is ongoing. You will have one more google form to complete from the college and career center. This will be sent out in April. One more and you’re done!
Additionally, I am receiving many questions about paying for school. Please be aware that the majority of schools have not released a full financial aid package yet. This means you have not been informed of what total grants, work study, or loans you are being offered. Continue to check your school portals for updates. We will have a workshop on March 20 to understand these packages.
Juniors and parents/guardians: Continue to ask your questions. We will begin reviewing the college application process and more after the NACAC college fair! Parents/guardians, please be on the lookout for a Junior parent meeting.

GRADUATION INFORMATION - Class of 2025...
Big News: Our Commencement Speaker is Judge Zuberi B. Williams!
We’re thrilled to announce that Judge Zuberi B. Williams, recognized as one of the youngest judges appointed in Maryland history, will deliver this year’s commencement address. This exciting news is due to the hard work of our Student Government, which spent months searching for the perfect speaker—interviewing several impressive candidates and even meeting with Judge Williams for several hours before making their unanimous choice.
Judge Zu has become a standout figure in the legal world, honored by the National Bar Association’s Top 40 Under 40 and the Maryland Daily Record’s VIP List. Yet, it’s his genuine passion for pop culture, his engaging teaching at American University and Georgetown Law, and his ability to connect with people of all backgrounds that truly set him apart from any other judge you’ve met. He brings a fresh, authentic perspective that continues to reshape and inspire the next generation of legal leaders. He was recently re-appointed for another judicial term by Governor Wes Moore.
Judge Zu is ready to deliver a message that will inspire both our graduates and their families. His words about overcoming challenges, the power of education, and making a difference in the world will speak to all of us. You won’t want to miss this unforgettable moment—it’s the perfect way for our seniors to embark on the next chapter of their lives. All of this is made possible by the hard work and thoughtful selection of our amazing Senior Class Leaders.
Message from Ms. Wolk and Ms. Shevchenko
The RHS Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 9am at UMBC. Graduates are responsible for their own transportation to and from the ceremony.

Summary...
Summary...
As we step into spring, it's a time for fresh beginnings and renewed energy. This season offers a great opportunity for both students and parents to reflect on the progress made and set their sights on the goals ahead.
Parents play a key role in encouraging their children to continue putting in the effort every day as they work towards earning the credits needed for graduation. Even when the finish line seems far away, daily dedication to their studies will ensure that students stay on track. Your support, guidance, and belief in their ability to succeed can make all the difference in helping them reach their educational goals.
Keep fostering that motivation, and together, let's make this spring a time of growth and achievement!
Warmly,
Principal Pyles
