Ranger Report
August 2024
August 30, 2024
Hello Ranger families!
This week has been an outstanding start to the 2024-25 school year at EHS! Thank you for your support in helping your students arrive at school on time and prepared for the year of learning ahead. Students have been quickly learning their schedules and doing a great job of asking for help when they need it. Throughout the week, our teachers have been reviewing our classroom commitments and what it means to show Ranger P.R.I.D.E. (Perseverance, Responsibility, Integrity, Dependability, and Empathy) at EHS. We have already started observing students demonstrate these leadership qualities by helping each other find classes, understand directions in class, and invite others to join their groups during lunch. We look forward to continued partnership with our Ranger families as our staff work to inspire and engage our students in learning so they can achieve their full potential this school year.
Have a wonderful long weekend over this coming Labor Day holiday!

Understanding Your Reimbursable Meal Options
Did you know that whether you pay full price or qualify for free meals, you’re entitled to a complete, nutritious meal under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)? A fully reimbursable meal includes all the essential components: protein, grains, fruits, vegetables, and milk. By selecting one entree, one cup of fruit, and one milk you can enjoy a well-balanced meal that meets federal nutrition guidelines at no extra cost beyond your standard meal rate. Students may select more items from the salad bar as well.
Purchasing Extra Items
If you’d like to add an extra entrée ($2) or other items beyond the reimbursable meal, you can purchase these à la carte using cash or funds from your meal account. Please note that we do not allow accounts to go into negative balances for these extras—so be sure to keep an eye on your account balance!
We’re committed to providing nutritious meals for all students and making sure you have the flexibility to enjoy your favorite foods. If you have any questions, please contact the food services team.

Classrooms are Cell Phone Free Zones
Life is full of distractions that keep us from performing our best.
Our expectation is that classrooms are cell phone free zones.
The classroom is a space for learning and engagement in preparation for a student’s next step in life. Join us in fostering this commitment to learning by:
Talking with your student about their cell phone use in school.
Be prepared to set limits and to collaborate with school staff in making learning a priority.
