Calling all Einstein Students and Families:
Navigating the College Admissions Process Online Course starts Feb. 5!
Einstein families in past years have applauded this seminar as an extremely helpful introduction to the college application process. Kenny Sholes (the instructor) is approachable and works well with students. He is knowledgeable on the current trends and best practices in the admissions process. In addition, he shares techniques and tools that students and families can use in their own college search.
PTSA works with Foundry to sponsor the seminar series, making it free of cost to Einstein students and families. Sessions are held via Zoom and recorded. We are hoping to have Spanish translation available. The course has particular relevance for sophomores and juniors (class of ‘26 and ‘27), but is open to all grade levels.
The series will start on Wednesday, February 5th and run the following 3 Wednesdays: February 12th, 19th, and 26th. Each seminar will run from 7:30-9:30 PM.
Topics covered (click here for further detail):
Wednesday, February 5: What Are Colleges Looking For? (Hint: You Have It)
Wednesday, February 15: Understanding the Process and Getting Organized
Wednesday, February 22: Where Are You Now? (And What Are You Looking For)
Wednesday, February 29: Effective College Essays and Other Application Considerations

To get an idea of the number of families/students that are interested in participating for Foundry, Kenny would like to get a rough head count via a Google document. If you also include your email, he will also send out reminders for each session and follow up emails. To add your name and email to the list:

About the Instructor:
Kenny Sholes, Creator, Foundry Admissions Strategies, received his BS in Economics from the US Military Academy at West Point in 2006, his Masters in Public Affairs from Princeton University in 2016, and a certificate in college admissions consulting from Columbia University's Teachers College in 2017. Over the last few years, Kenny has served as graduate school advisor to veterans transitioning from the military, conducted admissions interviews for Princeton as a member of the Alumni Schools Committee, and provided consultations with numerous friends and colleagues pursuing acceptance to some of the country’s most selective undergraduate and graduate programs.
