Middleton Update
October 24, 2024
Dear Middleton Families,
It was a busy, short week! The Book Fair was a highlight for everyone, and Wednesday morning was our second Chess Club of the year. I was amazed and overwhelmed when I walked into the gym last Friday during the first chess club before school. The gym was FULL of students and so many parent volunteers. THANK YOU to all of the leaders and parents who are helping with Chess Club each week. What an incredible opportunity for our students!

Nutrition Services Highlights Diwali
Diwali, the Festival of Lights, begins on Thursday, October 31st. This week, Nutrition Services partnered with the local, family-owned business Happy Curry Foods to create a delicious Mango Curry Chicken for our students to sample. Our students enjoyed the opportunity to try something new while also learning about Diwali from their friends who celebrate it.
To all of our families celebrating this year, Shub Diwali!

Harvest Parties & Costumes
October 31st is next week! All classrooms will have a Harvest Party and students are allowed to bring costumes to school to change into for the party. Parties will be at various times depending on grade level schedules. You'll hear from your child's teacher about these details. Please be sure costumes are school-appropriate. This means no weapons, fake blood, masks, make-up, or face paint. It's best if your child can take their costume on and off independently, or just wear it over their clothes. Many classrooms will ask for parent volunteers. If you plan to volunteer, be sure you have completed your background check this year.
Yearbook
Have you ordered your yearbook? Order yours before October 31st to save 10%. All yearbooks include two free custom pages for you to personalize for your child. Check out this flyer for more details!
