DIA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION TODAY!
Join us to celebrate Día de los Muertos this afternoon from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.! Come to the upper playground after school with the Amigos group for delicious pan de muerto and hot chocolate. Let’s honor the memory of our loved ones together. We invite everyone to add a loved one’s name or share a fond memory in the remembrance area as we celebrate joy, love, and the cycle of life.

REPORT CARDS THIS YEAR
In an effort to align with the district’s Climate Justice policy, PPS is encouraging families to view report cards online and phasing out printing and mailing. For this first term, we will be printing a single copy to go home on Friday, November 8th. On that day parents will be able to view report cards online via Parent VUE. Here are the instructions for viewing report cards on Parent VUE. PPS will no longer mail report cards.
REPORT CARD RESOURCES FOR FAMILIES
Families can find all of the support and guidance (including report card translations in languages other than Spanish) they need related to report cards on our K–5 Report Card Family Guide website. You are also invited to ask any questions you have about report cards during Parent/Teacher Conferences.
UPCOMING EMERGENCY DRILLS
All schools are required to instruct and drill students on emergency procedures so that the students can respond to an emergency without confusion or panic. In the coming weeks, we will be conducting the following drills at Atkinson:
- Lockdown Drill on Wednesday, October 30
- Evacuation Drill on Wednesday, November 6
- Secure the Perimeter Drill on Tuesday, November 12
Read more about these drills on the PPS website HERE.
