St. Teresa Feast Day
For St. Teresa of Calcutta’s Feast Day, which was on September 5th, students conducted a service project. Since Mother Teresa was dedicated to practicing the corporal works of mercy throughout her life, we decided to conduct a clothing drive. Clothing the naked is one of the corporal works of mercy. To live out this corporal work of mercy, the school collected clothing items for two weeks. The students did an amazing job of being generous! This project not only helped to benefit those in need at our school, but also allowed community members to profit from our gathering of apparel. It was decided to donate the clothing to the Depot, as they have been gracious enough to grace our school with money to help afford field trips, etc. This was our way of giving back to them while keeping our donations local. We can not express how grateful we are for all of you who donated! Thank you for making this service project a success!
Market Mania
Keep an eye out for a green envelope in your oldest child's backpack this week – we're kicking off our exciting fall fundraiser, Football Mania! This fun sweepstakes is tied to pro football games, offering weekly prizes and two grand prizes at the end of the season. Each game card gives you a 1 in 17 chance of winning with a random combination of three teams for each of the last 10 weeks of the 2024 season, starting on 10/31/2024.
Each family will receive five tickets to sell or purchase, and the funds raised will go toward enhancing our school’s technology. Our staff has big plans, including requests for computer bags, Gizmos (online science experiments), classroom amplifiers for better audio, Turnitin (an online student tool for writing), iPad stands, and subscriptions to online religious content like Studio 3:16, Hallow, or Formed. Let’s make this fundraiser a win for our students and staff!
Grandparents' Mass
Field Trips
This week, we have several field trips planned, and we ask that students dress for the weather and wear tennis shoes, as they’ll be spending plenty of time outdoors. The school will provide sack lunches unless you notify your child’s teacher that you’d prefer to send a lunch from home. To prevent items from being lost or stolen, we ask that students leave electronic devices at home. It’s always a pleasure to hear compliments about our students' great behavior, so please continue encouraging your child to make positive choices. Thank you for your support!
