Dear Kramer Family,
The first day of school is Monday!
It was great to see everyone at Meet the Teacher Night! Thank you to all of those who were able to attend! We are so excited to welcome everyone back on Monday!
As we settle into the new school year, we want to extend a special thank you for your patience and cooperation with our arrival and dismissal procedures. We understand that the first few days can be a less than smooth as everyone gets used to the routines, and we truly appreciate your understanding as we work to make the process as smooth as possible.
Reminders:
- First Day of School: Monday, August 12; doors open at 7:30am, school starts at 8:00am. Due to safety, construction, and limited space, parents will NOT be allowed in the building to escort students to class. Staff will be there to support students with this transition.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our staff. We’re here to support you and ensure a positive start to the year.

New to Kramer Elementary?
First Day of School New Parent Breakfast
If you are new to Kramer Elementary, we invite you to join us for a special New Parent Breakfast hosted by the PTA:
- Date: Monday, August 12
- Time: 7:45 - 8:15 AM
- Location: Learning Lab (See map below)
Enjoy coffee and a light breakfast while getting to know other new families and learning more about our school.
Please park on Mason Dells and walk directly to the Learning Lab.
Arrival and Dismissal-Thank you in advance for your patience!
We appreciate your patience as we work through the new adjustments during arrival and dismissal systems in the first few days of the school year! We will do our best to adapt and adjust as needed. Just know that these first few days may take longer than expected.
Morning Arrival and Drop-Off beginning at 7:30am
Parents are not allowed to enter the building to escort their students.
Carpool Drop-Off Instructions:
Location: Westbound on Midbury, from St. Michaels.
Drop-Off Point: Corner of Midbury at St. Judes intersection..
Assistance: Staff will be present to help students enter the building.
Important Parking Information:
No Parking Zones: Due to safety, limited space and ongoing construction, we encourage you to utilize the carpool line. Please do not park on Midbury or St. Judes
Carpool Line: Use the designated carpool line for dropping off your students.
Staff Parking Lot: Do not enter the staff parking lot.
First Day and Week of School:
Student Drop-Off: For safety reasons and limited space, parents are not allowed to walk their children to class. Staff will assist students to class as needed.
First Day of School New to Kramer Parent Breakfast: If attending, please park on Mason Dells Dr. and go straight to the Learning Lab.

Afternoon Dismissal begins at 3:20pm
Dismissal of Pre-K, Kinder, 1st, and 2nd graders and their older siblings:
Carpool Direction: Westbound on Midbury, from St. Michaels.
Pick up Location: Corner of Midbury at St. Judes intersection
Assistance: Adults will be present to to ensure student safety
Carpool Sign: To facilitate a smooth process, please use the Carpool Sign that will be provided on Meet the Teacher Night. Additional signs are available from your teacher.
Staff Parking Lot: Do not enter the staff parking lot.
Parking: Do not park on Midbury or St. Judes. We encourage use the carpool process instead.
Dismissal of 3rd, 4th and 5th graders:
Pick-Up Location: Tunica Dr, in the southbound direction.
Students will be supervised by teachers and load into cars from gate exit by the portables
Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring a smooth and efficient dismissal process!
Bus Information
Students who ride the bus will exit and board the buses on St. Judes.

- If your child receives transportation through Special Education services, that will be arranged through the Special Education Department.
YMCA After-School Program
The YMCA offers an after school care program on the Kramer campus
Space Updates
The construction outside of the building will continue through the school year.
Please know that the active work should not impact the learning environment for our students. The work locations will work around student presence and hours.
All construction workers have passed a background check through Dallas ISD and must receive safety trainings before entering the site.

Most work inside the existing building has been completed. The next steps in the process are the construction of the updated entry vestibule and the addition of the new wing.
The additional playground equipment is set to arrive in September.

Join a Kramer Sports Team!
Fall Sports Registration is now open. Soccer is available for boys and girls Pre K- 5th grade, Flag Football for boys K - 5th grade, and volleyball for girls 3rd - 5th grade. Please note that the scholarship process has changed this year and scholarships will be handled directly by the YMCA. Details can be found on the registration website.
Please reach out to kramerathletics@gmail.com with any questions. The PTA is here to help and does not want the cost to keep any student from playing, and can help you with the scholarship process.

School Hours
School times are 8:00-3:20pm.
The first day of school is Monday, August 12. Parents will not be allowed to escort child to class.
Doors open at 7:30am.
After 8:00am, students will be considered tardy.
Attendance is imperative! Please ensure that your child is at school on time on a daily basis.
Please contact Ms. Espinoza for additional information regarding attendance at 972-749-8300.
Dismissal information will be shared in coming weeks.

The district will provide clear backpacks for every student. Schools will receive the clear backpacks before the first day of the school year. The campus principal will communicate the distribution process of the clear backpacks to families. The district will not provide mesh backpacks. Click HERE for more information.
