GRADUATION FOR THE CLASS OF 2025
It is with great excitement that we would like to share the date, time, and location of the CHS Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2025. We have been given the tremendous opportunity again by MCPS and Virginia Tech to hold our 2025 graduation ceremony at Cassell Coliseum on the Virginia Tech campus.
The date of graduation will be on Saturday, May 24 at 8:30 am. The shift to VT again this year will allow us to have unlimited admittance of family members and friends for our graduates, significant parking opportunities, and a space that will not be affected by the change if inclement weather should arise.
Please review the "Senior Letter" below for additional information concerning graduation and end-of-the-year festivities. This information will be a "working" document and items will be updated as we get closer to the end of the school year.

SENIOR AWARDS
The CHS Class of 2024 Senior Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 16 from 10:00 - 11:30 am in the CHS Auditorium.
We understand that parking on campus for this event will be extremely difficult, so we are pleased to announce that VASAP, Horne Funeral Home, and the Holy Spirit Catholic Church have given permission for us to utilize their parking lots during the time of the ceremony. You can also utilize the new bus loop area and gravel lot beside the Corp of Cadets/Friends Building to park as well.
We will send out additional communications about where to enter the building and parking directions as we get closer to the time of the event.

H.E.R.O. ATTENDANCE AWARDS
H.E.R.O. ATTENDANCE AWARDS
At CHS, we are placing an increased emphasis on daily attendance and are working with local businesses to honor those students who are H.E.R.O.'s (Here Everyday Ready On-Time)!!!
Our goal at CHS is to have a daily attendance percentage of 95% or above. We are seeing improvement from a year ago, but we still need your help and support to get our students to school everyday, ready, and on time!!!
Take a look at our most recent winners and the local businesses that are supporting our cause!

CEREAL BRACKET 2025 CHALLENGE WINNER
Throughout the month of March, CHS has celebrated its own "March Madness" by holding the first ever "Cereal Bracket Challenge". Students were asked to bring their A-game to the breakfast table and decide which cereal reigns supreme!
Each week, students have casted their votes to determine which cereals would advance to the next round. Will the classics dominate or will an underdog surprise us all?
In the end, only one cereal was able to claim the title of CHS Breakfast Champion!
Our final four flavor match-ups are: FRUITY PEPPLES vs. CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH and FROSTED FLAKES vs. FRUIT LOOPS.
At the end of this week, we will determine the Championship Round and our winner will be decided the Week of April 7.
