Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would like to thank everyone for your patience and cooperation at pick-up time on Monday as we worked to ensure the safety of our students under extreme heat conditions. As we prepare for continued intense weather again this afternoon, we ask that you please take note of the following reminders for our pick-up procedures as we work to efficiently accommodate a large number of individuals:
Please have a visible sign with the last name of your child on the dashboard of your vehicle, as this will expedite the process.
As you enter the pick-up area, please pull your vehicle as far up to the front of the line as possible.
To create the safest and most efficient environment, parents and guardians are not to get out of their vehicles. District staff are available to help your students get into their cars, if needed.
Please be mindful of individuals and other vehicles when safely exiting.
As a reminder, if you are planning on picking up your student(s) this afternoon, please call the school office(s) prior to 1:00 p.m. This timing is critical to ensure we can safely account for all students.
If you need to pick your child up early for an appointment, please do so by 1:30 p.m. The office staff is needed to support our dismissal procedures after this time.
Thank you for your adherence to these procedures as we work to create the safest and most efficient environment for our families.
For families of bus riders, please be advised that there is the potential for school buses to run late this afternoon. The district will send out a communication to families who normally ride school buses once the buses have departed the schools.
