Happy Friday Wildcats. Today we had a state recognition parade. The Boys Tennis team with state champions Caleb Schnarr and Eli Flick, the Girls Cross Country team and Calvin Seitz and Max Kline received recognition for culminating their season at the State level. The JHS cheer team is competing in Time Out and Large Varsity at state Saturday. Our Marching Wildcats continue their impressive string of state competitions on Saturday as well. We wish our Band and Cheerleaders the best of luck. Congratulations to Caroline Shipp and Mr. Jarett Helming for being selected Student and Staff of the Week. StuCo has a new slate of officers and completed their service day on Sunday. StuCo is collecting canned food for our local food bank. If you would like to make a donation please drop it off between 7-4 daily at the front office. The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community. On Monday November 11th at ten am JHS will conduct or Veterans Day program. The public is welcome to attend. Please enter through the main gym entrance on the West side of the school. We are welcoming former JHS student Major Nathan Humbert as our guest speaker. We may also have a few other surprise guests. We welcome all of our community veterans and thank them for their service.
Finally, I would like to take a second to recognize Jasper High School Athletic Director Phil Kendall, Cam Harris and Theresa Stenftenagel. Mr. Kendall and his staff go above and beyond in their duties. Jasper has outstanding facilities, coaches and athletes. Mr. Kendall is directly responsible for all of our athletic programs. Jasper routinely hosts IHSAA tournament events and they are exceptionally organized. This year Mr. Kendall will be responsible for 23 IHSAA tournament events. This is by far the largest number of events hosted by any school in the state. I wanted to recognize our Athletic Department for all their efforts.
Have a great weekend and Go Cats!

Senior Financial Aid Meeting- November 18, 6:00pm JHS Auditorium. Stan Werne will be presenting information on filing the FAFSA. Any senior parent(s) with questions about this process is encouraged to attend.
AP Drop/Add Fee - The College Board has a final order date of November 15 for the exams that students will take next may. We will order an exam for all students enrolled in a course. If a student drops an AP class after this date they will incur a $40 charge from the College Board as a late drop fee. We would like to help any student that plans on dropping an AP class at the end of the semester avoid these fees. Therefore, any student who knows that they are going to make a schedule change to drop an AP class should see Mr. Uebelhor before November 15 to make that change now. Anyone dropping an AP class after that date will be billed the $40 in January
