Our Golden Weekly Communication from the Nest
Week of January 6, 2025
2025 here we come! Welcome back families! I look forward to partnering with all of you as we work through the second half of the school year! We have many exciting opportunities and events ahead, and we will continue to work hard to provide the very best education for all of our Golden Eagles!
This month we put a spotlight on kindness with a culminating kindness week January 27-31st. We also have Battle of the Book sign-ups, our GATE tour/showcase for newly identified families, our Golden Musical rehearsals, after school intervention, and so much more! Did I mention we have the best team of teachers and staff who are ready to support your students and provide the very best instruction? I have so much pride for our school community, and it is easy to see why we are #53 in the state of California! If you are interested in hearing more about our school, our goals, and some of the exciting things we have planned for this year please consider joining us Monday, January 13th for Coffee with the Principals and a General PTA Association Meeting at 8am in the MPR. We always look forward to welcoming our families onto campus!
In the meantime, I can't wait to see all of our Golden Eagles back to school on Monday!
Thank you for you support,
Kristin McDonald

Kindness is Contagious!
January is Kindness Month at Golden, and each week we will have some type of activity to bring awareness and engagement. Helping our students have the best character to treat others with respect and kindness is one of the most important ways we can impact our children's futures. Kindness is absolutely a skill to be taught. Thank you for consistently supporting your child(ren) in being the kindest human being possible! It is always a good time to be kind!
Week One: Focus is on Rules. Students will be participating in a PBIS Refresher of Rules sometime during the week we get back! Remember our school-wide PBIS goals are to be respectful, responsible, and safe!
Stay tuned for each week's activity and/or events. We will end the month with an official Kindness Week January 27 - 31st. Let's be KIND! 🫶
