A Message from the Principal!

Friday, August 30th we are holding a Back-to-School Dance from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. The dance is for HMS students ONLY and the cost is $5. Tickets will be on sale during breakfast and lunch right by the cafeteria. Parents - please pick up your student promptly at 4:30 at the back of the school by the cafeteria/gym. Concession will be for sale in the cafeteria. We hope to see everyone there!

Monday, September 2nd - No School Labor Day

Cross Country starts Monday 8/26. Runners will report to Mrs. Bennett's room (Purple Team) after school.

Athletes must have a completed sports physical in order to participate.

If you participated in the free sport physical clinic in June, you need to bring a copy of the physical with you to practice. The school did not receive a copy of your physical. If we do not have a physical form, your athlete will be unable to participate until we have the form. Practice ends at 4:00 and pick up is located in the back of the school. We are looking forward to a great season!

We are looking for two parents to serve on our Local School Improvement Council (LSIC). The LSIC meets four times per school year at 9:30 a.m. in the HMS Library. It's time to complete the Annual Emergency Information Update! This important information helps us reach you or the people responsible for your student(s) in case of emergency as well as information related to student health, nutrition, and wellness. Click here to fill it out.

Any student (male or female) interested in cheering or serving as the Eagle mascot for the 24/25 Hedgesville Middle Cheer season, please join us at tryouts on August 26th (5 - 7p.m.), August 27th (5-7p.m.) and August 28th (judging begins at 5 p.m.). You must attend all three days of tryouts and have a sports physical to try out. We look forward to seeing you.
