Varsity Soccer

On Monday, April 8th, the Dryden/ Imlay City girls soccer team traveled to Armada High School for a league game. Dryden/ Imlay City lost the game to Armada, 9-2. Caila Fitchett obtained one goal. Kierstyn Stankevich acquired one assist.
On Thursday, April 11th, the Dryden/ Imlay City girls soccer team traveled to Yale High School for a league game. Dryden/ Imlay City defeated Yale, 3-2. Kierstyn Stankevich secured one goal.
Great job, girls! The Dryden/ Imlay City girls soccer team will be competing next at Algonac High School on Monday, April 15th, at 4:30pm. Good luck!
Varsity Track

This past week the varsity track team competed in the first two meets in the season. The first meet was held in Deckerville, and the second meet was held at Davison High school. At both meets, Dryden competed exceptionally!
On Tuesday, at Deckerville, the boys team placement was 2nd! Some meet highlights include Michael Hickmott, throwing 103"2' and earning him a first place victory. Also, Logan Korth, placing 4th in long jump, Brendan Peter high-jumping 5"0', earning him 4th place, Matthew Hickmott running 49.6 seconds in the 300 meter hurdles, getting 2nd place, and Trenton Carroll running 27.2 in the 200 meter dash!
The girls also placed 2nd on Tuesday at Deckerville! Some impressive times include: Delaney Wolle running 13.0 seconds in the 100 meter dash, earning her first place, Lily Finnigan running 3:11 in the 800 meter dash, Audrey Napolitano running 7:01 in the 1600 meter run, and Lillian Eason throwing 18"7.5' in shot put!
On Saturday, the girls and boys teams were scored collectively. Some highlights from the boys include: Aiden Fitchett running 4:57 in the 1600 meter run, Logan Romain running 11:48 in the 3200 meter run, Gabriel Carvahlo running 26.64 in the 200 meter dash, and the 4 x 800 meter relay team, consisting of Aiden Fitchett, Dylan Lasher, Sean Finnigan, and Connor Wolff, running 9:29!
The girls also played a very important role in the success of Dryden during Saturday's meet! Special shout-out to Olivia Reynolds for running 59.67 seconds in the 400 meter dash which earned her 2nd place, Sophia Peter earned 4th place by running 51.87 seconds in the 300 meter hurdles, Cara Prusakiewicz running 13:23 in the 3200 meter dash, Keira Miller jumping 13"3' in long jump, and Ava DeVlaminck throwing 95"1' in discus, earning her fifth.
Great job to both teams and good luck this week!
