Tardy Student Trend
Parents and Guardians,
Over the course of the last month we have seen a marked increase in the amount of students arriving to Ojibwa as tardy. Please be aware that tardies are factored into whether or not a student is considered truant, per our MISD Guidelines. If a student is consistently truant we MUST file truancy with the MISD and parents/guardians may have to speak with a truancy officer concerning the absence/tardy trends we are seeing for their children.
Additionally, due to the tight building schedule we adhere to, many students who come to school late are missing the beginning section of our Language Arts lessons. Each section of our ELA lessons build upon one another and are critical to your child's understanding of the concepts for that day. With that reason, and the reason stated previously, we are asking that you please do your best to have your children to school on time.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
