CTS Snapshot

Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Students receive lesson stars where a teacher feels a student has made an excellent contribution in their lesson. Some students receive multiple lesson stars across the week, below are the students who have received the most stars for each year group this week:

Year 7:

Henry 7ST, Fabian 7CO, Scarlette 7TE and Kallum 7CA.

Year 8:

Alfie R 8CA, Sophie 8CO, Beth 8CA, Rehan 8SW and Adrian 8CO.

Year 9:

Sebi 9SW, Ruby 9SW, Melande 9TE and Olivier 9SW.

Year 10:

Daisy 10TA, Amber 10CU, Sophia 10SI and Kuba 10ST.

Year 11:

Aston 11TE, Sophie 11CO and Jayden 11SW.

Year 12:

Robert 12B, Matthew and Kacper 12A.

Year 13:

Izabela, Victoria and Harvey 13B

Year 10 Engineers have had the opportunity to work with the Dyson engineering box from the James Dyson foundation where they discovered the latest technology in the Dyson V12 by doing a product analysis. Working in pairs they then were able to disassemble a Dyson tangle free turbine tool before reassembling it and learning how the components are made.

Amazing news for our Sixth Form - 7 Students applied to The Future Leaders Programme and all 7 students were accepted.

This means they will receive mentoring to apply to the top universities, trips to Russell Group university campuses, trips that include a visit to number 10 Downing Street, face to face meetings in London and a visit to Oxford University.

It wouldn't be a social media post without making the students pose for a photo - we are so proud of them!

Students are Roman, Olivia, Esosa, Kitty, Lexie, Daniel, Lexi and Angela.

Our co-curricular programme has returned this week, please see below the clubs available to students, if you wish to register your child, please do this via Edulink.

Year 11 students visited Bedford University and students were given a great insight into the department at university level and were very engaged.

Our students have made a fantastic start to their learning, and lots of lesson stars and achievement points have been given out by staff. In particular we would like to celebrate these students this week who have been recognised most highly for their efforts:
