Owl Update

Dear OKES Families,

What a wonderful first week of school we have had! It was so great to see all of our families on campus during "Walk Your Owl To Class." Observing our students smiling and building meaningful relationships with their peers and teachers throughout the week has been truly inspiring! Students had a great time in Media this week! 3rd Grade is beginning to explore Google Slides, while our 1st graders Reading The Pigeon Goes to School and learning how to draw the Pigeon.

Classes were so excited about earning the "Golden Spatula" this week during lunch for modeling our OKES expectations! Who will next week's winners be?

3rd Grade students worked as a team to develop a solution to "save" Fred.

Breakfast and lunch continue to be free for all Flagler Schools students throughout the 2024-2025 school year.

Our spectacular Food Services staff at Flagler Schools work tirelessly to serve our students meals that are both nutritious and delicious.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we settle back into the car rider routine. It is important to be vigilant while driving in the car rider line, as our tiny Owls have very little road sense and can do the most unpredictable things. It only takes a moment of impatience to cause a tragic accident. We are thankful for your partnership in keeping all of our Owls safe. 💙

Instructional Time begins promptly at 9:10am daily. Campus gates will close at 9:10 each morning in order to ensure the security of our campus. Students arriving after the car rider gate is closed are kindly requested to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to the front office for check-in. We appreciate your partnership and support in getting all of our Owls to class on time each day!

Our front office doors are locked at 3:15pm daily. Early dismissals for extracurricular activities and appointments should take place prior to 3:15 pm to prevent students from being dismissed with bus and car riders.

Please note: Flagler Student Code of Conduct Attendance Policies apply to early sign-outs.
