THREE SHS SENIORS NAMED NATIONAL MERIT SEMIFINALISTS
Strongsville High School seniors Bhavya Anoop, Avery Scullin, and Raina Sinha have been named National Merit Semifinalists in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. They are among the 16,000 nationwide semifinalists, representing less than one percent of high school seniors in the United States. These academically talented high school seniors now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for 7,250 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered next spring. In order to enter the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program, the then-high school juniors took the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which served as an initial screen of program entrants. The Semifinalists include the highest-scoring entrants in each state.
