March 19th e-Learning Day
All Naperville 203 Schools will have an e-Learning Day on March 19th due to the Illinois Primary Election. For questions, please contact your student's teacher or school of attendance.

Christine Nicarico-Roy and the Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Literacy Fund
Naperville 203 is very thankful for Chris Roy and the entire Nicarico family for everything they have done and continue to do for our community. The Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Literacy Fund has provided grants and scholarships to promote literacy in our community in honor of their sister Jeanine, who at the age of ten was abducted and murdered in 1983.
Mrs.Roy is retiring from her role at Mill Street Elementary School at the end of the year. The Naperville Central alumna spent her entire career in Naperville School District 203, teaching for nearly 36 years. Watch the video below to learn more. ⬇️

Nominate a Naperville 203 Educator
The Naperville American Legion is once again looking to honor our Naperville Educators. In the Month of March, we are Honoring Educators who make Difference. We know that teacher change our lives for the better. The Naperville American Legion would love to honor those who have made a positive impact on your school and/or your student.
Nomination submissions must include:
- Nominee's Full Name
- Place of work (School Name)
- City of residence
- Brief description of why this person deserves to be recognized.

Elementary and Junior High Assessment Test Notification
Naperville Community Unit School District 203 students enrolled in third through eighth grade will be completing the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) between Monday, March 4 through Friday, March 22.
In addition, between Monday, April 1 and Tuesday, April 30, students in fifth and eighth grade will be administered the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA).
NEF February Express Grant Winners
Congratulations to all February Express Grant Winners!
Express Grants elevate Naperville 203 staff and students’ great ideas into reality. These grants provide up to $1,000 for immediate use and are available on a rolling monthly cycle. The Express Grant application window for the 2023-2024 school year will close on March 15.
Illinois 5Essentials Survey
As a parent or guardian of one or more students attending a Naperville 203 school, your feedback is requested via participation in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. The purpose of this online survey is to understand your perceptions in the areas of connectedness, satisfaction, interaction, involvement, and quality. The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, March 29.
Women’s History Month
A panel of distinguished women will share their experiences, followed by an empowering, interactive dialogue with the assembled audience of campus and community members. The aim is for women from many walks of life to share in conversation, uplifting women’s well-being and envisioning a community that helps fulfill the City’s mission to create “an inclusive community that values diversity.”
