2024 LWMB Student Leadership Interviews
The Tournament of Roses Parade trip is in our near future! Are you interested in being part of the LWMB Student Leadership team?
Returning students interested in applying and interviewing to be a part of the 2024 LWMB Student Leadership team should complete the application at the link below by Thursday, March 14, 2024.
The LWMB Student Leadership team includes students serving in the role of Drum Major, Section Leader, and Equipment Captain.
Link: https://forms.gle/FMbRRJUQ2P6szNpj6
Along with Drum Major and Section Leader, we will also be interviewing for “Equipment Captain.” Any interested students who will be Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors next year are eligible, and it is a great position for those who are pursuing the opportunity to be a section leader or drum major in the future. “Equipment Captains'' are responsible for creating and managing their own team of marching band members to help set up facilities for rehearsal, oversee and assist with truck loading responsibilities, and any other necessary logistical operations. Selected students for this position would be a part of the LWMB student leadership team, and would be expected to participate in the L-W Leadership Academy in June (details TBA). Interested students should complete the application linked above and will be considered for an interview.
Applications for all three positions are due on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
An interview schedule for the 2024 LWMB Student Leadership positions will be posted shortly after the due date, and interviews will take place after school on days to be announced. Not every student who applies will be considered for an interview, so submit your best work.
Ribbons of Hope 5K
A local organization, The Lincoln-Way GFWC of Illinois has chosen the LWMB as their community partner for this event. Proceeds from this year's event will be used to assist the Lincoln-Way Marching Band with expenses related to the Tournament of Roses Parade.
The race will take place at Hickory Creek Forest Preserve (21063 Prestancia Dr. Mokena, IL 60448) on Saturday, May 11. Several different race times and options are available!

The more people that sign up, the bigger the benefit to the LWMB!
How To Use IFA Funds For A Trip Payment
IFA stands for Individual Fundraising Account. IFA funds can be used to pay for trip payments and to pay for fixed payments for the LWMB, LWWG, and LWID. A fixed payment refers to the fees associated with each of the mentioned ensembles.
If your student is a current 8th grade student their IFA balance will be found in their LWMB Charms misc. ledger.
If your student is a current Lincoln-Way High School student they will have two balances, one in their LWMB Charms misc. ledger and one in their home school music Charms misc. ledger.
Below are links to each IFA transfer request. Requests must be submitted through this process. Deadlines for requesting IFA funds for TOR trip payments can be found on the next page.
If you plan to use IFA funds for a trip payment be sure to submit the request before the deadline and be sure to indicate specifically which payment the funds are to be applied to. When submitting a request through your home school for a TOR (Tournament of Roses) trip payment please indicate that by including TOR, the payment number, and the due date of the payment.
Example: TOR Payment #2 – 1/26/24
Partial Payments: You may make partial payments for the trip with IFA funds. If you make a partial payment with your IFA funds you are responsible for paying the remaining balance in your Bob Rogers Travel account.
Multiple IFAs: You may use your home school and LWMB IFA funds for the same trip payment.
