I pray you are all safe! I know this past week has been a challenge for a lot of families with the loss of power, food, and even homes. If there is anything North can do to help you, please reach out.
Students will return to school on Monday, October 7th.
I want to say a huge thank you for all who participated in the North PTO Read-A-Thon! Over $3600 was raised to support students and staff this school year!
Our North Spirit Sale will begin 10/7 and run through 10/31. Click here for the order form. Order forms will also be sent home next week.
Fall Yearbook Pictures will be taken on Tuesday 10/8. Make-up picture day is 11/5.
The end of the 1st quarter is Friday, 10/11.
Monday, October 14th is a Teacher Workday, there is no school for students.
PTO Halloweengram Sale will begin Tuesday, October 15th and run through Friday, October 25th. We will have a PTO meeting on Tuesday, October 29th at 5:30pm in the Media Center. We'll use this time to assemble Halloweengrams. PTO is asking for donations of individually wrapped, non-peanut candy. If you'd like to donate, please have these to the school by Friday, October 25th.
The CCS Fun Run will take place at Shelby High School on Saturday, October 19th from 9-12 for all who signed up with Coach McDaniel.
Report Cards will be sent home on Wednesday, October 23rd.
October 24th is Breast Cancer Awareness Day - we encourage all students to wear pink and they can wear a hat for $1. Proceeds will go to North's Relay for Life Team.
As you're cleaning out summer clothes for fall and winter clothes, please consider donating any clothing, shoes, etc to the North Clothing Bin located in our car rider line near the playground. North receives money for every pound of clothing collected. We appreciate any donations!
As a reminder, North has been approved as a CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) School again for the 2024-2025 school year. This means ALL students will receive free breakfast and lunch each day. As always, extras will be available to purchase. We will continue to use the LINQ Connect system for cafeteria purchases. Use this website to create an account.
Parents, I would like to remind everyone that students should not be dropped off in our front parking lot or on Ramseur Street in front of the school. This is a huge safety concern. Please make sure they are dropped off in the back of the building in the car line. Our line moves quickly!
Lastly, parents, please make sure you have your ID with you if you're coming to school to eat lunch or check out your child. Our sign-in/out system requires a driver's license or ID to be scanned. We strive to keep our students safe. This is one additional step we can use to ensure the safety of everyone here at school. Please share this information with anyone who may come to school to eat lunch with your child. Please note that visitors are not allowed to go to classrooms after lunch. Please say your goodbyes in the cafeteria. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
