Here at CPS we have officially launched our Principal's 100 Club! Students that are demonstrating positive characteristics such as being kind, generous, considerate, loyal, empathetic, or a good friend can be earn a ticket for our 100 chart, with a number the student chooses, and a positive call home. ANY staff member at CPS can award ANY student a ticket. Once a row is filled up on the chart, Mrs. Desrosiers will offer those students in the row a choice of a special treat. π€
China PTO Updates
Next meeting: Thursday October 3rd at 6pm on Google Meet. Everyone is welcome!
Many have asked about Trunk or Treat. Because of the number of local Trunk events and a few other considerations, the PTO will not be hosting an event this year. Instead, you can come see us at the Erskine Trunk or Treat on Friday November 1st. If youβd like to join us at the trunk to hand out candy, email us!!
Mark your calendar for our Craft Show at CMS on November 2nd and follow the Facebook event for updates!

Coming soon, youβll see requests for basket raffle donations. Each year at our craft show, one of our major fundraising efforts is our basket raffle. Each grade is given a theme and donations are gathered. These donations are put into baskets that we raffle off at the end of the craft show. We appreciate all donations, as they help make the raffle a success, ensuring that we can do our thing which is funding field trips and events for all grades!

UPDATE on School Zone Flashing Signs - from Mr. Gartley
- We are working with the Maine Department of Transportation to get new lights
- Unfortunately, the lights they have ordered will not be in until winter, and they do not install them until spring / summer
- We called the company directly and they confirmed that the new signs are delayed and the timeline the DOT gave us would be the same if we try to buy them direct
- In the meantime, we have worked with the state police and the DOT and in the next couple of weeks, signs are being installed with reduced speed limits and times of impact for these speeds.
- This will allow the sheriff and state police to enforce the reduced speed limits.
- Our resource officers will continue to be visible in the morning and afternoons to help control traffic
