The Impact of Chronic Absenteeism: What families need to know

Chronic absenteeism includes all types of absences, whether excused, unexcused, or due to suspensions. Truancy, on the other hand, focuses on unexcused absences and often leads to legal compliance issues. Understanding their impact and implementing effective strategies to address them is crucial for fostering student success.

Be on the lookout for Spring Essentials

Essentials focuses on key programs around the district, calendar notes, achievement highlights, and the "essential" news you don't want to miss. This issue includes a review of E-SPLOST expansions and improvements made throughout the district.

If you have an elementary school student, the Spring 2025 issue of Essentials will come home with your child, but if you have a middle or high school student, it will arrive in your mailbox.
