FOREST PARK, IL – On Wednesday, February 21, the Board of Education for Proviso District 209 approved the appointment of Mr. Alexander Aschoff and Mr. Luke Pavone as interim co-superintendents during a special meeting.

Mr. Alexander Aschoff's Background:

Mr. Aschoff began his teaching career in 2004 as a science teacher at Proviso East High School in Maywood, IL. Over the years, he has held various roles, including Department Chair of Science, Division Head of Science, and District Coordinator of Science. In 2022, he co-authored the book Teaching in a Competency-Based Secondary School and is currently pursuing a doctoral program in Educational Leadership, with an expected graduation date of 2025. His commitment to personalized instruction and student agency has significantly contributed to improved teaching and learning in District 209.

Mr. Luke Pavone's Background:

With a wealth of experience, Mr. Pavone came into the district July of 2023 and has served as the Deputy Superintendent for Operational Services, overseeing various departments such as Human Resources, Technology, Operations & Maintenance, and more. His extensive background includes roles such as Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources at Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 and Executive Director for Human Resources at Beverly Hills Unified School District. Mr. Pavone has consistently demonstrated leadership and proficiency within each position that he as served.

Both Mr. Aschoff and Mr. Pavone express their enthusiasm and commitment to leading Proviso District 209 collaboratively. They look forward to working closely with all stakeholders, listening to the needs of students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, and the community. Their combined expertise and dedication will undoubtedly contribute to the continued progress of the district.

FOREST PARK, IL - El miércoles, 21 de febrero, la Junta de Educación del Distrito 209 de Proviso aprobó el nombramiento del Sr. Alexander Aschoff y el Sr. Luke Pavone como co-superintendentes interinos durante una reunión especial.

Antecedentes del Sr. Alexander Aschoff:

El Sr. Aschoff comenzó su carrera docente en 2004 como profesor de ciencias en Proviso East High School en Maywood, IL. A lo largo de los años, desempeñó diversas funciones, entre ellas las de Jefe de Departamento de Ciencias, Jefe de División de Ciencias y Coordinador de Distrito de Ciencias. En 2022, fue coautor del libro "eaching in a Competency-Based Secondary School y actualmente cursa un programa de doctorado en Liderazgo Educativo, con fecha prevista de graduación en 2025. Su compromiso con la instrucción personalizada y la agencia estudiantil ha contribuido significativamente a mejorar la enseñanza y el aprendizaje en el Distrito 209.

Antecedentes del Sr. Luke Pavone:

Con una amplia experiencia, el Sr. Pavone llegó al distrito en julio de 2023 y ha ejercido como Superintendente Adjunto de Servicios Operativos, supervisando varios departamentos como Recursos Humanos, Tecnología, Operaciones y Mantenimiento, y más. Su amplia experiencia incluye funciones como Superintendente Adjunto de Recursos Humanos en Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 y Director Ejecutivo de Recursos Humanos en Beverly Hills Unified School District. El Sr. Pavone ha demostrado constantemente liderazgo y competencia en cada puesto que ha ocupado.

Tanto el Sr. Aschoff como el Sr. Pavone expresan su entusiasmo y compromiso para dirigir el Distrito 209 de Proviso en colaboración.
