Reception and Key Stage 1 Stars of the week
Key Stage 2 stars of the week
'Well done' to this week's Stars of the Week (pictured above) who have all had exceptionally good weeks.
A huge thank you to all of those who contributed towards and / or attended and supported the school Christmas Fair. This is the school's biggest fundraiser of the year so we really appreciate it. An especially big thank you to the Friends of Low Ash who gave up a lot of their own time to plan and organise the event.
A mound of donations - thank you!

Attendance
This week's school attendance is 95%.
Whole school attendance so far this year is 95.7%
Early Years/Key Stage 1 class of the week is 1P with 99.3% attendance.
Key Stage 2 class of the week is 5B with 98.3% attendance.
Once more, here is the link to the attendance page of the school website which has information on the Penalty Notice system. Ultimately, more than 2 penalty notices could result in the council taking you to court and a criminal record. We really do not want any of our families to have to go through this.
SEND - Parent and Carer drop in
On Tuesday 17th December, from 9am, we are holding a parent and carer drop in to discuss all things SEND. Mrs Spedding (Inclusion Leader) will be joined by Rachel James from the Social, Communication, Language and Interaction (SCIL) Team. Coffee, tea and mince pies will be available! If you would like to attend just come to the school office after you have dropped your child (ren) at school. There is absolutely no need for your child to be on the SEND register for you to attend.
School Trips
There have been some wonderful school trips this week with Year 5 visiting the Industrial Museum as part of their History learning about the Industrial Revolution and Nursery visiting Eureka. I believe even Santa himself made an appearance!
The Polar Express Comes to Low Ash!
On Wednesday, pupils in Year 2 enjoyed 'riding' on the Polar Express following their unit of work around the book. They even came into school in character, in their pyjamas!
Housing drop in
If you are having any housing issues, one of the drop ins listed below might be of use to you.
My Happy Mind - Module 2
This week we launched Module 2 of the My Happy Mind curriculum. This module is all about the children understanding their unique character strengths and learning to celebrate them. This is a great module for building self-esteem.
