Hello All!

We are so proud of our seventh graders and their STEAM Fair projects. Eleven of our students participated in our Regional Science Fair at Regis College last weekend and we are so excited to announce that Talitha Fuller and Emma Callahan have been selected to participate in the Massachusetts State Science Fair to be held in Worcester Technical High School in May. Great work Talitha and Emma!

8th to 9th Grade Step-Up Night is April 3rd
Millis High School would like to welcome the parents of the rising 9th-grade students to join Principal Mark Awdycki, the School Counseling Department, teachers, and current MHS students, as they give a brief overview of the differences between Middle School and High School in Millis on Wednesday, April 3rd. Before the presentation, students and parents are welcome to attend the high school club showcase in the cafeteria from 6-6:30pm, where they can learn about the various clubs available at the high school. Following the showcase, the presentation will begin promptly at 6:30pm, where the principal and counselors will explain the course selection process, schedule, activities, clubs, credit requirements and supports available in the high school.
We look forward to seeing everyone on April 3rd, and to welcoming the CLASS of 2028 as they begin the process of transitioning to life as a Millis High School student!

ALL SCHOOL ASSEMBLY AND TALENT SHOW
Our ALL SCHOOL ASSEMBLY and TALENT SHOW were both held recently. The ALL SCHOOL ASSEMBLY theme for this month was INTEGRITY and we were so excited to celebrate several students for being upstanders and good citizens in our school community.
Also, we recognized our amazing staff members: Mrs. Molinari, Mrs. Maguire and Mrs. Hickey this month.
Mrs. Molinari strives to keep us all safe and healthy. She’s always there to listen to us and offer care when we are not feeling our best. She does an amazing job treating all of the Millis Middle and High School students as if they were her own kids!
Mrs. Maguire has a knack for putting things into perspective. She is a wordsmith when it comes to talking with students, parents and colleagues. Mrs. Maguire has worked very hard this year to match 6th graders with high school tutors. She stays after school many days to host tutoring sessions in her room.
Mrs. Hickey has been very busy this past month. She not only helped the 7th Graders create and celebrate impressive STEAM Fair presentations and put together today’s Talent Show with Mr. Devine, but she also helped organize fundraisers for a former student’s cancer care. For always being there to support current and former students, here’s to you Mrs. Hickey!
Congratulations to them!!
For the Talent Show, we had 3 cool acts that were performed in front of all our student body. Ryan D showed off his amazing skills with the yo-yo. WOW! Aiden S. and AJ M. rocked out with The Eagles - Hotel California. What a treat! And, Orlando S. entertained all playing his trombone. Very impressive!
A nice big THANK YOU to Ms. Hickey and Mr. Devine organizing the Talent Show and for their devotion and dedication to our kids. Their talents and hard work sure paid off, and it was a great show!

MIDDLE SCHOOL SUCCESS TIPS FOR PARENTS
Here are some tips that are geared to Middle Schoolers, to help your student achieve their very best! Each week we will share a tip. We hope you can incorporate these tips into your daily routines with your child or children:
WEEKLY TIP #10 - COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CHILD
Be available to listen when your child wants to talk. Find times when they are most likely to be open to conversation - like right after school or while they are getting ready for bed.
Common Sense Media has so many wonderful resources to support parents with their teens and their digital lives. Please check them out here!
Helping your child have a successful year doesn't require doing extraordinary things. It's the little things you do each day that provide the guidance and support your child needs.
