FJVD Weekly Info
We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
Thank you to all who were able to join us for parent-teacher conferences over the past two days. We appreciate the opportunity to get to know you and your students better as we partner together in ensuring their continued growth and success in all aspects of their education.
American Methodist minister Halford Luccock once remarked that "you cannot whistle a symphony, it takes a whole orchestra to play it." While this may particularly inspire the students in our new FJVD band, I think it also speaks to the goal of both parent-teacher conferences and our community as a whole.
Like a symphony, there are many different parts to a well-rounded Catholic education - academics, spiritual formation, athletics, performing arts, home-school partnership, and much, much more. We cannot achieve growth and success in these areas individually. We cannot whistle our own symphony. As our Friendzy program reminds us, we need each other. So thank you for your partnership in serving this beautiful mission of forming both saints and scholars within the walls of Father Doyle School!
