Week of February 24th
2 Hour Delay Bell Schedule
Message from Principal Drew...
As we return to school after our snow days time is of the essence. Parents and students it is critical that we stay on task and continue moving forward through our content in order to finish the semester successfully. The growth of every student is our goal but that goal can only be realized when all stakeholders commit to it. We look forward to a highly productive week as we get back to full days and full weeks in our classrooms.
8th Grade transition night will take place on March 6th at 6:00 PM. This is an opportunity for parents and rising ninth grade students to explore the electives available as students at PCHS. Class registration for all rising ninth graders will take place after this event so it is important to know which electives your child would like to request. We hope to see all members of the class of 2029 in attendance on this evening.
Congratulations to our Winterguard team on their 1st place finish in Cary last weekend. This was the first competition at the Winterguard Nationals level for our Winterguard team and as usual they performed at a championship level. Well done to all involved.

8th Grade Parent Night at PCHS
Hello from Chowan University,
We are planning Campapalooza 2025 Academic Summer Camp and it is going to be the best one yet! Our academic summer camp offers a 5-day college experience for high school students. Our camps offer fun, learning and friends! We are planning some new camps this year as well as some old favorites!
Please share the interest form far and wide with your students, friends and colleagues so that we can develop the camps that the students want. Camps are for high school students 15-18 years old.

Financial Aid Awareness
As part of Financial Aid Awareness Month, CFNC has made available all the tools and resources to help get the word out about FAFSA February, the special month-long push to help more students and families learn about the resources that can help them pay for college.
Please join us sharing and amplifying the handy Social Media tools, PowerPoint slides for presentations and digital displays, as well as the FAFSA 101 landing page to help inform and guide parents step by step through the FAFSA (Federal Application for Federal Student Aid).
Remember - FAFSA is the First Step to All Financial Aid: With the Next NC Scholarship, most students from households with incomes of $80,000 or less will qualify for at least $3,000/year to attend a NC community college that covers all tuition and fees. For students planning to go to a UNC institution, they can get $5,000/year that covers more than half, if not all, tuition and fees. And for students going to a NC private college there is a state Need-Based Scholarship for them, too!
