Happy New Year! January marks the halfway point of our 2016-2017 school year, which to be honest is quite difficult for me to digest. The good news is that we have lots to look forward to in the coming months at WHS! On behalf of the staff of Hammerschmidt School, I wish each of you a Happy New Year! May 2017 be your best year yet!

• Monday 1/23, Superintendent Coffee, 9:00- 10:30am at the Admin. Center
• Tuesday 1/24, WHS PTA Meeting, WHS LRC - 7:00pm
• Wednesday 1/25, EARLY RELEASE DAY, students dismissed at 1:15pm
• Friday 1/27, WHS PTA Movie Night, WHS GYM, 6:15- 8:15pm

Prior to our winter break, our Star Constellations groups met and had a "Snowman Challenge." Each of our 31 groups were given the same supplies and the same task. Groups were given 1 hour to create a snowman using any theme, style, shape, and color of the groups choosing. The only rule was that only the materials from the mystery bag of supplies could be used. D44 Science Fair Information

Concert dates are as follows:

3-5 Tuesday, February 7, 2017 6:30 p.m. doors open at 6:15 p.m.

K-2 Thursday, February 9, 2017 6:30 p.m. doors open at 6:15 p.m.

The next D44 Superintendent Coffee is scheduled for Monday 1/23 from 9:00- 10:30 a.m.
