Note From Mr. Smith & Mrs. Rosen

It is an energetic time at Barkalow as our 8th graders prepare for graduation. The students will be spending a significant time practicing so they are familiar with the procedures, expectations, and will feel comfortable on graduation day. Together we are looking forward to this exciting event!

We will review the expectations for our graduation ceremony with the students and are asking for your help to reinforce them. Please refrain from calling out when students' names are called on the stage. We do not want any distractions to take away from the ceremony and the dignity of the event. Thank you for setting a good example for our students as we celebrate their success.

See you June 18th at 6:00 pm at Freehold Township High School! Students should arrive at 5:15 p.m. through door #1. Parents will enter through door #2 at 5:30 p.m.

For graduating 8th graders, if there is a positive lunch balance on their accounts of $10 or more, the district will automatically send a refund check in July to their primary home address on genesis.

If their balance is less than $10 and you would like to get reimbursed or want the money transferred to someone else, please send me an email to awilliams@freeholdtwp.k12.nj.us to make your request.

Just a reminder that all students must be in good standing at the time of graduation. Therefore, all fines and fees must be paid. If your child does not return their Chromebook charger or have a MealTime balance, these things must be taken care of prior to graduation.

Please note that the last day of school for ALL students is Friday, June 21st. If your 8th grade student is absent on any day, please be sure to follow the normal attendance procedures by calling them out on the attendance line or indicating the absence on Genesis. If you are aware of the absence prior, you can submit an absence form to the main office.

We want to take this opportunity to wish your students success during their high school career. It has been a pleasure to witness their growth over these past three years. We are very proud of our Blue Jays and we look forward to watching them soar in the future.
