Important Information
Please read the following important information carefully:
- LABEL! LABEL! LABEL all of your child's items, please! This includes water bottles, jackets, backpacks, lunchboxes, etc. We do our best to return all items to their owners to keep our lost and found clean.
- Instruction begins at 7:45 and the tardy bell rings at 7:50. If you arrive after 7:50, you will need to walk your child into the building to sign them in.
- If you have any transportation changes, please make sure that you let Ms. Sharon know by 2:00pm. This helps to ensure that she has enough time to alert teachers of this change. As a reminder, all transportation changes must go through the office.
- Your child may bring a water bottle to school and refill it at one of our water fountains.

Car Rider Procedures
Car rider reminders:
- Cell phone use in line is not permitted. (Act 37 of 2011)
- Please do not pass in the car rider line. This is to ensure all students and adults stay safe at all times. Please make sure your child exits out of the passenger side so they do not have to cross in front of cars. They will need to enter this side of the car during afternoon dismissal as well.
- Please pull your car all the way forward, we will retrieve or deliver your child from or to you. It is important that you pull all of the way up so we can unload/load 8 children at the same time.
- Be sure you have the car tag hanging on your mirror. You can pick additional ones up in the office. If you do not have a tag with your child's name on it, we will ask you to park and come in the office with your ID.
- Morning arrival: 7:30-7:50. After 7:50 you must walk your child inside.
- Afternoon dismissal: 3:20-3:40. All students must be picked up by 3:40.
Core Memories Made This Week
First grade had their creature hook on Friday to get the kids excited to learn about animal traits that help them survive. They are focusing on the statement “I can tell how animal parts help them survive.” The kids were pretty surprised to walk into the cafeteria and see zebra pelt, antelope pelt, geckos, turtles, and many others. #SESstandOUT #MakingCoreMemories #GreenbrierProud
October Spirit Day we had the best time celebrating our Students of the Month and recognizing our Ambassadors & STAT Members. It truly was a fun Friday! #SESstandOUT #MakingCoreMemories #GreenbrierProud
Our Volunteer of the Month, Mrs. Jana Nichols. Thank YOU for donating pink ribbon tattoos for the entire school to have for Spirit Day. We are lucky to have you & your boys with us at Springhill!
463 miles!!! That's how many miles Running Club has logged in the first week! These kids & parents aren't playing around when it comes to getting their miles in each day! We are proud of everyone committing to start their day with a little physical activity. #SESstandOUT #MakingCoreMemories #GreenbrierProud
October PTO lunch provided by our amazing Kindergarten parents! Thank you for always spoiling us so well!
Counselor's Corner by Mrs. Benton
Week of October 7-11, 2024
It’s been another fun week at Springhill Elementary! Spirit day was a blast last Friday. I love how we celebrate at SES. Students in grades 3-5 will review what bullying looks like. They will also be discussing rumors and gossip and how to handle both.
Challenge your kiddos to explain to you what it means to be responsible! Maybe give them a specific job or task to do for this next week and hold them accountable for doing the job or task! Being RESPONSIBLE is a very important character trait for us all to practice using.
As always, don’t hesitate to reach out or contact me with any questions or concerns.

Announcement from Athletic Director Coach Wood
- We are happy to announce that Greenbrier students will be admitted into Greenbrier home athletic events for free again this year. This applies for all games except blue/white games, benefit games and playoff games.
- 6-12 grade students MUST present their badge at the gate to get in free. Pictures of your badge on your phone will not get you in. If you do not have your badge entry fee is $7. If you are caught trying to use another student's badge both students involved will lose the privilege of free entry for the remainder of the school year.
- Elementary aged students do not need a badge to get free entry.
- K-7th graders must be accompanied by an adult to enter the gate. Once you enter a game you will not be allowed to leave and re-enter.
- Students are expected to watch the games once they enter and not be running around or engaging in horseplay. No balls or toys will be allowed inside the gates and no Greenbrier students are allowed to go to the visitors side.
We hope to see all of our students at the games supporting our Panthers!!!
